Workshop Guidelines
Confidentiality
This live call is held in a container of respect and confidentiality, and everything that is shared remains confidential between you, us, and the participants. By engaging, you agree to keep what is shared here private.
Supportive and Inclusive Space. It is our highest priority and commitment that this collective space be as supportive and inclusive a space as possible for all participants, one that centers the experience of BIWOC, LGBTQIAP2-S folx, and other systemically and/or historically marginalized folx.
Harmful language is not allowed in any of our virtual spaces.
We acknowledge that, despite our best intentions, we may mess up, or make a mistake. If you have feedback for us around an oversight we might have, or if any aspect of the material or interactions with other participants feels exclusive, or in some way harmful, please email us at hello@angeliquekang.com
Preparation
The Cosmic Feminine intentionally kicks off the day after the January New Moon.
New moons hold powerful energy for manifestation, dreams, and fresh starts.
We'd love for you to set some time aside on your calendar to sit with grandmother moon and reflect on Wednesday, January 29th.
We'll share more guidance for you to build your own new moon ritual + some reflection questions in the coming weeks.
Besides that, there’s nothing you need to “do” in advance of this call, but we know it can be useful to feel settled and prepared.
Please ensure that you've updated your Zoom application/software to the newest version. You can find instructions on how to do so here. However, if you're just joining through a browser (rather than through a device or a desktop application), you don't need to update Zoom.
Find a private place where you can settle in for the length of our time together, and let anyone else around you know that this is a "do not disturb" time for you.
All you need to bring is a notebook, pen, and you may want to have your favorite tea or a cozy blanket!
Presence
We ask that you limit your distractions while on the call, and show up in presence. You can make it easier to focus on the call by turning off notifications, closing or minimizing running apps, and muting your phone in advance.
Every single one of us on a call contributes to the energy and flow of the call. Please give each speaker the respectful awareness you would want to receive.
Muting Your Mic. To help keep background noise to a minimum, we ask that you mute your mic unless you are actively sharing with the group.
Q&A Time. In every interaction, be mindful of your own intersections of privilege. If you’re always the one to speak, be intentional about where you can listen first. For sharing, please be conscious of the time and how long you're speaking.
If you find that you’re going to talk about something potentially triggering on the live call, please use a content/trigger warning.
